A short overview of our history
InfoThuis was founded in 1991 on the initiative of The Hague City in order to establish public interactive television services. Beside the city council, cable operators Casema and CAI Westland (Caiway), information service provider Videotex Nederland, publisher Sijthoff Pers and shareholder VSB Bank were involved in this project. By means of a dedicated public TV channel, InfoThuis was already in the beginning of the nineties running interactive television in The Hague’s region.
During 1998 until 2003 InfoThuis was fully taken over by cable operator Casema. In these years InfoThuis developed several successful TV-services for analogue as well as digital TV. Most important to mention was an electronic newspaper combined with interactive teletext services for the former and several Open TV applications for the latter.
As from May 2003 InfoThuis became an independent company and changed it's name into InfoThuis Nieuwe Media BV. The priorities of the company since then moved more and more towards development and operational services of systems for digital TV.
In 2005 InfoThuis Nieuwe Media launched the brand name ITNM Systems for their digital TV product line.
